雪ブロックの積み上げ
- ダンプカーで運ばれた雪を型枠に入れ、何層にも重ねて巨大な雪の塊を作ります。1つの雪像に30000トン以上の雪が使われることも！
荒削り
- 型枠を外し、チェーンソーや重機で大まかな形を削り出します。この段階で輪郭が見えてきます。
細部の彫刻
- 彫刻刀や特製のノミを使い、雪の表面を滑らかにしながら細部を彫刻します。この工程が作品のクオリティを決定づけます。
補強とライトアップ準備
- 雪像が崩れないように補強を行い、ライトアップ用の設置も行います。
